Diversity Statement
The parade has its roots in celebrating diversity, summed up by a famous quote "if all the flowers were the same colour with the same smell this world would be a poorer place", so come out and celebrate Milton Keynes your way.
Our Statements...
The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect. It means understanding that each individual is unique, and recognising our individual differences. It is the exploration of these differences in a safe, positive, and nurturing environment. It is about understanding each other and moving beyond simple tolerance to embracing and celebrating the rich dimensions of diversity contained within each individual. Whilst the parade celebrates 'diversity' it also embraces our global similarities.
